I have a glorious 2 weeks off for spring break! What a great gift.
So the challenge is to find things to do to keep myself and the kids entertained. Actually, that's not the hard part. The hard part is going somewhere without having toddler meltdowns, poopy diapers, or timing everything in between naps.
For our first day, we took it easy and went to McDonald's for lunch. The first "upscale" McD's is just 2 blocks away. They have high back leather booths, flat screen tv's, leather chairs, and a toddler zone. It was very nice. The hard part was leaving.
On Tuesday, we went to the new mall near our home. We can look out our windows and see it. It's an outdoor mall where you can stroll up and down the streets and go in to the stores, almost like a main street feel. Although it's not 100% complete (waiting for Barnes and Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, more specialty shops and restaurants) and despite the fact that the architecture isn't very flattering to the surroundings, we still love it! They have a great outdoor kids area (2 of them) and soon the outdoor sprinklers will be up.
Today, Wednesday, we just went to the grocery store and hung out at home. Peyton is miserable with a cold. We need to rest up so we can hit the zoo tomorrow!
I will upload some shots from our first 2 adventures in the next day or so. They are on the little camera because that's all I can lug aroun with 2 in tow.
