Like my new room?
A perfect hiding spot.
Climbing in and out.
Over the last 2 weeks, we have said goodbye to the nursery (Peyton learned to climb out of the crib) and hello to preschool for Maddy.
We chose a queen bed for Peyton's room so when family and friends come to visit they have a comfortable space to stay (Peyton sleeps with you though - just kidding). He fell out the first night, poor guy, but loves having all of the room. I've been told his future wife will kick me because he will be used to so much space and not know how to share the bed.
And Maddy has officially begun her school career. She is enrolled in a preschool program through the Gilbert Public School system. She was evaluated by the special education team over the summer for some speech and social concerns. Through the tests that they had administered, she is "on the autism scale". Although we are going to a psychologist tomorrow for a definitive diagnosis, this program will be great for her. There are only 3 other kids in the class and she will get the speech services that she needs in addition to some social and communication tools.
She did great her first day. Teacher Jen said she participated in everything and tried all sorts of new things. Maddy already has a field trip coming up at the end of October. Very exciting.

Adorable pics.... I cant believe how BIG they are getting. Time flies when you are having fun. Glad to see that her first day of school wasnt too traumatic. Have a good rest of the break. We will see you soon.
Love,
Jenn
I love the pictures! What a big boy he has become. I wish I had such a large bed at a young age. Then I wouldn't of ended up on the floor as much.
Maddy looks like she enjoyed preschool. No matter what the turn out of the dx is/was - she will be ahead by having the preschool experience. It will also be fun for you to experience the school systems as a parent and not a teacher or admin. Different road to travel....
Enjoy the rest of your break. Jk is ready to go back to school. :) I am ready to send her too.
