We were supposed to go to Colorado this past weekend. Not only was I going to see my dear friend Jen from college, who I hadn't seen since her wedding 5 years ago, we were going to reunite with a ton of Leonard's at Matt's cousins wedding. It was going to be at a dude ranch!
But alas, we had buddy passes and were at the mercy of Frontier Airlines. We got up at 4am and headed to the airport. There were no seats on the 7am flight so we hung around until the 10am flight. No seats there either. The ticket agent said we should come back for the 8pm flight. But it would have put us there so late and we had to come back first thing Sunday (if there were seats) because Matt had a 3pm flight to Pittsburgh for work.
Well, we didn't go, but we had fun hanging out in the airport. The kids were PERFECT!!!! Of course it helped that we had all the makings for a great plane ride at our reach (DVD, snacks, coloring, etc.).

Well it is Monday night and I don't want to go to bed because that means "the end" to summer...

That stinks! I was so excited for you to go. This just means we need to plan a big family get together with all the kids SOON!
