My Favorite Things, ala Oprah

I have been wanting to give away a "My favorite things" gift box to everyone for Christmas over the last few years, but it would be expensive! The idea is Oprah's, but I sure don't have her money.

Anyway, I thought I would list some of the things I can't live without. As a mommy and things I use myself. These are just few.

In the kitchen . . .

If you don't have them, or don't use them, get out your kitchen scissors. They are great for cutting up food for the little ones, cutting fat off of meats, or whatever. Even Matt loves them.

Digital meat thermometer. I got ours from Crate and Barrel, but any will do. One of my biggest phobias is serving undercooked meat. This takes the worry out of it and you don't have to cut into it to make sure it is done.

In the diaper bag . . .

Diapees and Wipees - this is a pouch that holds 2 diapers and wipes (I slip in a disposable changing pad and a dirty diaper bag, too). Now, if we are out and 1 of the kids needs a change, we don't have to lug in the entire diaper bag. Well worth it.

Skin care . . .

Crabtree and Evelyn Lavender Hand Therapy. It's perfect for me out here where there is little humidity. And, the lavendar smell is wonderful. I'm picky about my lavender . . .

Lavender and Vaniall skin scrub from Origins as well as the skin souffle. Great products and worth the money.
