Io Triumphe!

I love this time of year because my undergradute alma mater, Albion College, always makes a trip out to Arizona so the alumni can get together. Over the last few years, I was the youngest in attendance, but not this year. That will make you feel old!

The new President, Donna Randall, was there as well as the new VP of Institutional Advancement and my good friend Marcia Starkey, class of '74 who is the Alumni Relations guru!

I love reconnecting with Albion. My 4 years there were a tremendous experience and I met so many wonderful people and had so many great experiences. So much so, that I have already donated my 401K from my employment at the Boston Conservatory to them. Matt and I have a faculty office in the new science building, which I will have to get a picture of.

But in all seriousness, Albion prepared me in a way that no other college could have. When you walk on campus it simply feels like home. It is stuning! It was perfect for a girl who wanted to leave home, but not too far away, and have small class sizes and take classes that you would not get anywhere else. There are very few colleges where you can say you were at your professors home for dinner, you could be in the choir, be a double major, be in a sorority and hold several offices, stage manage the college performances, be in the Sleight Leadership program, president of the Albion College Players, and excell academically.

So for that, thank you Albion! And all of the friends I have from there!
