SNOW
We spent Thanksgiving at my parents home in Westfield, NY. It's about a 7 1/2 hour drive with a few stops. While we were there, the kids experienced their first snow. As soon as the first few flakes fell, they were outside watching in awe. It was so neat to see the joy and wonder in their faces, especially because I cannot stand the stuff!
The first day, it was just a dusting, but the next morning there was about 2". Mom had bought them sleds and daddy helped Maddy make her first snowman.
It made Matt and I realize, we miss the Arizona sun and warmth.
We shall see where our journey takes us next . . . . .
The visit itself was magical. This was a visit where the kids bonded with Grammy and Papa like never before. That happened with their Nana and Papa, too when they were here in October. Being so close to them is wonderful - it means more visits.
